2nd year associate status for law clerks and JD/MBA grads

I knew that many firms give 2nd year associate status (pay, etc) to recent judicial clerks. I just learned that some big NYC law firms also give 2nd year status to JD/MBA grads. Does anyone have a list of these NY firms? Does anyone know which law firms in Chicago, DC, or Boston give 2nd year associate status to JD/MBA grads?
