Types of Damages for Breach of K:

"NaOMI LICKS THE PUNY CONS FOR COMPENSATION."

"NaOMI"= Nominal damages

"LICKS"= Liquidated damages (agreed to in K.)

"PUNY"= Punitive (Or Exemplary Damages.)

"CONS"= Consequential damages (meets Hadley v. Baxendale foreseeability test.)

"COMPENSATION"= Compensatory damages

(Imagine a lady named Naomi in a boxing ring in prison, she fights a string of scrawny convicts, and picks up her prize money.)

Ks subject to the Statute of Frauds:

MY LEGS

Marriage (peripheral to)
Year (executed within)
Land
Executor of will (estate debts paid out-of-pocket)

Just remember, on the one above, EXACTLY a year is NOT SOF (McIntosh v. Murphy); and, EXACTLY $500 IS SOF.

This is just the sort of "fine point" test writers love to put in a test!
