Expert testimony is allowed when it is necessary. How's that for a Gruber type answer....

When the facts are beyond the common understanding, parties can enter expert testimony to show that the thing speaks for itself within the community of corresponding experts.

What is the diff between compensatory and punitive damages. What are the types of compensatory damages and when are punitive damages awarded?

compensatory damages are to make P whole and there are two kinds and one is special.

punitive damages are to punish D and deter others.
