Legal Writting Help
« on: November 02, 2004, 03:07:23 PM »
Hi,

I am a international student enrolled in a tax program starting this fall. As the semester started, all of a sudden I found I have to do a lot of legal research (specifically in the tax area) writting. I am really overwhelmed by all these writting assignments. And honestly, because my writting in English, particularly in formal legal writting is not that good, I have been performing poorly. To make things worse, most of my classmates are part-time students who have a lot of experience and can write well. Therefore the instructors generally do not give very detailed instructions on writting.

I am really worried about the situation. Could anybody recommend some books or other resources where I can find some samples of legal writtings (e.g., memos, protest letters, etc.)?
