I would say it is less than what I expected.  The people on the prelaw board try to scare the crap out of you.

As we are at the half way point through the first semester, the work is starting to pile on more than in the beginning, because the begininng we only had to deal with new material.  Now, we not only have to brief cases and learn new material, but we have to refresh and memorize the old material as well.  I imagine this only gets more dramatic as the semester moves on and the binge drinking escalates.

I agree with Dean Prosser (except for the binge drinking). But I believe the key is going over your self created outlines.

its about what I expected.  not much time if you don't spend it wisely, and even if you do there's still not enough time to do everything.  I think law school is about knownig how to pick out the most importanct crap and not worry about the rest...but the catch is as a 1L you don't know what the important crap is yet.

No, seriously, it is a *&^% load of work but not hard work.  Read this case.  Read that case.  bull in class.  It takes a lot of time, but law school ain't rocket science.

I agree.  Law School demands time and dedication.  This is not medical or dental school...THAT'S hard.

It is not as hard as everyone says it is just time consuming. I hardly sleep during the week  and on the weekend I stay awake because I actually want to have contact with other people besides my colleagues Good luck class of 2007
