I am very grateful for my life and my blessings. I still just feel sad. I think it is this time of year for me. I am anxious to get in to a new semester and start learning some new stuff....

I think it is scary that far right religious conservatives are training lawyers. I just think that is creep!

Speaking of "creep", it's probably no consolation, but those right-wing religious lawyers might become useful in combating the inevitable creep and creeps of islam, as it stretches its insidious roots and rules across the country. 

I understand that southeastern Michigan is becoming a stronghold.  One ominous portent recently in the news is that they've successfully lobbied to change the lunch menus in public schools.  I don't know how much truth there is to those stories, but I agree with the maxim, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."  Of course, you can argue this maxim against any religion... as well it should be argued.

Pretty fascinating to think that this may be the end of America as our generation knew it....

I have my evidence mid-term tonight and according to what I have heard from the Monday crowd, it is extremely difficult.

No, nothing personal just academic.  He knows his stuff and expects you to know it come test time.  He is very laid back and easy going during class.

That's cause there are too many Baptist and Church of Christ around here! 

I stopped by the Knights of Columbus meeting for a few minutes before heading home. The first Wednesday of the month is our social meeting. It was my first such meeting. Nowhere else in the south could you expect a church men's group to be drinking beer and playing penny ante poker at one of their meetings. I love it. If it weren't for this darned law school, I could have stayed and cleaned them out. There was at least 23 cents in the pot when I left!
