I agree with you...

I have a hard time believing that these people could really be students at NSL.  Every encounter I have had with fellow students has been positive.  People are quick to help and the spirit in our class is supportive.  Everyone I've met is enthusiastic and excited about learning the law. 

Yeah, we gripe about the tests, the teachers and the facilities.  We gripe about the law, too.  But we are a very motivated group of people.

I'd almost be willing to admit they are just a few bad apples in an excellent barrel, but no.  We have a d**mned good school and d**mned good students.  Anyone who says otherwise is a liar or a fool.

my husband told me tonight that I am basically using him as a babysitter. What an outrageous, but, sadly true, thing to say.
I have become obsessed with studying. I really wish we had gotten Torts over last week.

i disagree. there is a difference in teaching and indoctrinating.
Of course then there is always the autodidactic method.......which has seemed to work well for me this year in some courses.........

No. Teaching is presenting both sides and allowing a person to make up his/her mind.
Indoctrinating is TELLING them the TRUTH and asserting that everything else is untrue.

well, it's presenting sides has got to end somewhere right (proximate cause)? but starting out with a right wing agenda is pretty creepy. I think it's super scary!

I think it is scary that far right religious conservatives are training lawyers. I just think that is creep!

Well, I may be misinformed but it would seem the majority of top tier law schools are liberal and their effect on policy making is the same.
I don't want someone with that narrow of a world view influencing the policies of this country..
Especially with the current one-sidedness of our government.
Did you read the article in the New York Times about the decline of America as "leader of the world"? It is time we realize that we are part of a global society. This current administration doesn't understand that.
I would think anyone educated in such a "narrow" fashion (not necessarily Christian but far-right agenda based Christianity) would not have much in the way of tolerance.........
