I've had several discussions with friends who have had similar experiences. It's kinda creepy in the way that everything is so divisive and you can't even speak your mind. It reminds me of McCarthyism. Like the Patriot Act, that is creepy. It has always confused me how folks talk about freedom and then allow the government to limit it!
The election results will be very interesting. I have a wierd sense of foreboding. As the Three Stooges would say, "It's like the sword of Damocles hanging over my head!" And you know what happened whenever those words were spoken!
I think maybe the guy felt like you were running him down. I hope you are planning on litigating, cause you'll be good at it!

I'm heading to class in a few minutes.  None of the torts reading done.  None of the torts cases.  Half of the crimes cases and reading done.

Cross your fingers that I don't get called on in crimes.

I've noticed that. People will run you down to get a parking spot closer to the Y so they don't have to walk too far???

One of the disadvantages of my school is that everyone is part-time and most students have full-time jobs and/or families.  The 'campus' consists of one building and a parking lot.  We don't have the on-campus experience of other schools.

This is not new to me.  Throughout my post-secondary education (hmmmm 30+ years) I have been a commuting student. 

But I think we miss a feeling of community.

After two months, I have started to feel a sense of community with my classmates.
