Applying to LLM program
« on: May 16, 2004, 01:41:18 PM »
What are the chances of getting into an LLM program without having any legal experience?  I have a BA from an American University and entering my Final year of my LLB at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom?  Do I have a realistic chance of getting into an LLM program at say Cardozo or NYU or University of Florida?  I also have Dual nationality american and spanish not sure if that helps any..only for financial aid i guess.  any insight would be much appreciated? cheers.

It depends on your academics!

It is quite clear that top 15 schools don't often accept candidates with no work experience, but there are a lot of great schools where you could get an LLM.

If your grades are good enough, you have a fair chance to be accepted in a top 30 school.
