Hi!  What year are you at Columbia?  I'm hoping to transfer as a 2L - waiting to hear from them.  What's it like? I know it's highly competitive, but is it a healthy competition or is it very cutthroat?  My friend says the students tend to be snobs.  Do you find that to be true?  What about the profs? are they accessible? supportive?  Please let me know ASAP.

Hey, I got accecpted about 1 week ago and will almost certainly attend.  I have the same questions as the previous poster.  Meanwhile, I'm finishing up at NYU.

I'm a new york native and I just got waitlisted.
with a 177/3.33

I'm so eager top get in. Anybody have any suggestions or comments?

Like Zev, am waitlisted at Columbia ... any guidance on chnaces or strategies for getting in off the waitlist? (Would a letter saying it is my first choice help?)

I was also waitlisted at Columbia and just received notification that I am still waitlisted.  Would you be able to tell me when the tuition deposit for the people accepted off the waitlist is?  I'm trying to figure out about when I can expect to hear back from them.

Anyone considering/accepted/attending Columbia:  Did you think about NYU?  If so, why did you choose Columbia over NYU?

2005 hopeful (just have to apply in Sept.)

And did anyone early decision?
