Moot Court for 2&3L's

What is the deal with moot court after the first year?  When in the fall (roughly) do people sign up?  Can you be assigned a partner?

I've been considering MC since it looks like I won't be on a journal for next year.  My research reveals that they will have meetings for MC in early September and you can pick your own partner.

Thanks!  I am also wondering if they will assign partners for those of us not wanting to pair up with anyone we know.

They will randomly assign partners, if you don't choose one, but if you want to do more than merely participate in moot good, e.g. advance to later rounds, then shop for a good partner who you know will take it seriously.

You can put "anticipated: moot court" on there though - if you actually anticipate doing it.  Right?
