Aspen Examples and Explantion books are good for Civil Procedure and Torts. They are not very good for Criminal and Contracts.
In addition to Aspen E&E, I use Emanuel's for the black letter law. I think they are the best for that. The "crunchtime" black letter outlines are available from Lexis for download. The alrger versions (with expanded explantions) must be purchased.
Frankly, I also recommend flash cards and law on tape/CD. It can get expensive though.
