Wisconsin!

A thin envelope came in the mail yesterday from Wisconsin. I thought it was over until the words "waiting list" popped out at me. The letter was poorly written though. I'm not saying this out of bitterness, but the letter was bordering on incoherent. The second paragraph starts out with "As most of you know." Ummmm...I thought this letter was addressed to me only?

Anyway, Wisconsin still sounds good to me. Does anyone have any idea how big the waiting list is? Sorry if this topic has been covered before.

I just got a thin white envelope, too.  I am on "hold." The letter explains that I may either be admitted or formally placed on the waiting list... I, too, wish I knew how many were in this category of "hold" and on the waiting list.  Wisconsin is my first choice and I'd go there in a heartbeat!!

I'm also on hold at Wisconsin.  Does anyone know when to expect to be notified of being admitted or waitlisted?

I called a while ago and I think they said early may we would hear back for those on the 'hold' category

Hmmm got the perplexing hold today. Anyone know the chances of getting accepted after being held?

On a side note, anyone know if Wisconsin has any pull on the west coast?

i got the hold letter, too. called them this week and was told that it's basically a priority waitlist, they couldn't give me much info on it because it's changing constantly, and to expect more activity around/after april 15th since that's the deadline for commitments from attending students. this deferred/on hold stuff is driving me crazy.

Thanks, guys, for letting me know that there's a "priority" group ahead of me. I was feeling good about the waiting list until now.  Humph!

Congrats to those who are accepted or on hold though. I bow to your superior app. results.
