Thanks for the replys. bobo-were you on the waitlist for a specific complex? I saw on the website that there is one only open to single grad students.  As part of my scholarship I received two paid years in grad student housing, so I hope I can get in.

Getting in to housing shouldn't be a problem, the law school has a guaranteed allotment of university apartment spaces, since you have been guaranteed housing (as have I) there shouldn't be any problem with a waitlist. There are multiple complexes open to single grad students; at least one in Palms as well as Weyburn Terrace (in westwood). I have heard about some problems concerning Weyburn, whether or not they are just the "bugs" getting worked out of the new buildings or inherent problems I can't say. I posted a link to some Daily Bruin articles concerning the complex.

just bumping this out of curiosity -- we just moved in to university village (married/family student housing) this past weekend and was wondering if there are any other upcoming 1Ls (or current law students) are living there as well.  we don't have any kids and i'm a little overwhelmed by all the toddlers  :)
