I emailed a woman from the admissions office last week and this is what she wrote:
Our goal is to have admissions decisions communicated to applicants as
soon as possible and by April 1, so applicants who have been asked to
respond to other law schools by that date will have the information they
need from UT in time to make an informed decision. We read all 1,600 or
so files carefully, and that takes time to do properly, so I don't feel
comfortable suggesting that an individual decision will be available at
any given date prior to April 1.
