Oh, BU's was the worst:

"We realize that the Committee's decision is a disappointment. Be assured, however, that we reached our decision after a thorough review of your application and supporting credentials."

In other words, "Trust us, you really do suck."

it must be the boston schools...bc's rejection letter is supposedly pretty brutal as well.  something alond the lines of "many of those not accepted go on to live rewarding lives".  OUCH.

columbia's rejection letter was quite professional in my opinion.  it was worded a little funny, but nothing cheesy about it.  it just said that they were "unable to take favorable action" and then went on to say how "keen" the competetion is.

BC's golden line was, "Ultimately, we realize there are many people who are denied admission at BC Law School who will go on to lead successful professional lives."   ::)
