I got dinged by Boalt 3 weeks ago!

Boalt sent my letter home for some reason and my parents neglected to send me it or tell me about it until today when I received it in the mail from them.  I thought I was actually in consideration! But no, rejection letter dated March 1st! F Boalt

Same thing happened to me - my mail lady delivered it to the wrong mailbox and they had to tell me over the phone.  Sigh.  Sorry to hear about it.

so it looks like you are planning on UCLA at this point?  Me too I think.  Have you visited yet?  If so, what were your impressions (or anyone else who has visited)?

I'm sorry to hear you both got rejected.  I know you both want Boalt as badly as I do.  After hearing your stories, I called Boalt and my application is STILL in decision. 

Why? *pout*  They've had it since the beginning of December...

I visited back in August and I really liked it; I am going back for admitted students day next month.  I'd like to talk in-depth with the faculty and students about programs, cost of living, placement, etc. Currently I am trying to decide between UCLA and IU, since IU offered a large scholarship and I am originally from Indiana.  I actually have an entire thread going on about this elsewhere, so I don't want to highjack your thread and make it all about me.

Decided against USC and NYU?

I guess NYU is still in there, just the thought of $150k plus compounding interest kinda scares me. Who knows, maybe they will hook me up in the next few days.
Barring some sort of drastic change, USC is out. They would have had to up UCLA by quite a bit, evironment and/or $, which they have not done.
I did visit UVa last week, really liked it.
