Cornell "decision," but no e-mail

so u were accepted to cornell, but no email right away? i just went to decision 2day and no email, any hope for me?

Yeah, this happened to me.  Then I got snail-mail that said I was on the reserve list.

I didn't.  I went straight to the reserved list.  Got the letter about 5-6 days after I went decision.

Sure there's hope: it took them about four or five days to send me an e-mail.  My packet was in the mail the day after I received the e-mail, btw.

What was the text of your "decision" notification?

Mine reads: "The Admissions Committee has reached decision on your application file and you will receive a written decision soon. Please be patient with the postal system. Please wait for 10 to 14 days to receive your written decision before contacting the Admissions Office."

I wonder if accepted students get the same text, or if the stuff about waiting 10-14 days is not there for them.

I heard the accepted students have a link underneath taking them to the admitted student website.  This is second hand information

what is the difference between a reserve and a deferral?
