Cheap Lodging
« on: March 16, 2005, 01:05:51 PM »
I'm visiting Washington DC on April 1st-3rd to visit Catholic and was wondering if anyone had any creative ways on finding lodging.  The cheaper the better; hostels? KOAs? Anything?

I would try those, or see if you can stay with a student for a night.  I know someone on the CUA student association, send me a PM and perhaps I can put you two in touch.

Holy crap that is some good advice!  I just booked my shared room for 45 dollars for two nights as oppossed to 140 dollars for two nights at the cheapest hotel!  Sure, I'll be with 5 other jokers in the room but that is definitely worth the price.  It's even really close to Catholic.

Tousled Pigtails, you're my hero.

Are you a military member or friends with one?  Lodging is about $25 per night on base.  I'm doing some reserve work down here now and that's what I'm paying (I'll be reimbursed, of course, so it's FREE!).

I'm too late. I was going to loan you my box (it's a big box--refrigerator). It's handy--you could set it up right on the campus, if you wanted. The Pope said it was OK. But hey, no sweat...it's your money.
