Should March Madness Affect My Decision?
« on: March 15, 2005, 04:49:24 PM »
Do I really want to go to some crappy school that doesn't have a basketball team good enough to make it to the Tourney?  Or even one with no basketball team at all? Hello! I think I may limit myself to only those schools who experience basketball success this year.

Sorry Rutgers, maybe next year. Villanova, you better show me something. UNC, Duke, Wake? This could be the way to go here. Uconn, BC, Syracuse? Well, I guess we'll have a better idea of where I should go after a couple of rounds of the Tournament.

Any advice here is appreciated.

I applied to the 43 schools who actually have teams in the tourney.  as they get knocked out, i withdraw my app.  this seems more logical than some of these decisions i see people making.
Pitt is it!

March Madness should definitely be a key component to anyone's law school decision.  I'm from the state of Iowa and am considering Drake or U of Iowa...Selection Sunday sealed the deal for me.

P.S.  Gotta give some love to Iowa's three tourney teams:  Iowa, Iowa State, AND Northern Iowa.  Believe me, this is about as much excitement as our state can handle...

Why shouldn't you? Basketball is just as arbitrary as some of the gossip points flying around this board.
