I've got a 3.97 from a state school and am doing lousy on the LSAT...averaging 160 on a really good day....

How do i get out of this rut and break 170 on the october exam? i was working with a tutor who had a very strange approach, email me for details, and now i'm quite discouraged because i've spent so much time and money on it already and am at a standstill with my progress.

i appreciate any advice.

thanks!

First of all you should not be flustered about getting a 160, many haven't done this at all, lt alone on a good day. Secondly, you should look into a few itensive quick courses (Kaplan online) or read up on Cracking the LSAT (if you haven't already begun this ofcourse), mark your progress by looking over EVERYTHING you missed on the diagnotic exams and make sure you know why you missed them FOR SURE! Lastly, relax and make sure you drink plenty of water bring a silent timepiece, and get plenty of rest.  I reccomend that you do not study the last day prior to the exam day so that you can take in all that you crammed for. Hope this helps otherwise if you knew all of this just reply back and I will go into more intensive strategies. GOOD LUCK  ;D

more intensive strategies would be highly appreciated. i have read the books and understand the theory, but when it comes to doing the exams, i dont know what happens, i think i'm applying the strategies, but perhaps i'm using the wrong ones and/or applying them wrong.

thanks for your help, i'll ck again soon for your response.

I tell you what you want more intensive strategies, I will email them to you. Keep them to yourself because the information is quite valuable, you don't want to go around giving these strategies away and making more competition for yourself, do you?  :) ;) I will conveniently send them to the address in which you posted as your name

Keep me posted on this forum by simply replying to these statements, let me know if any/all of them offered you ANY sort of assistance.  GOOD LUCK! I'm sending the email now.

Sure no problem but much like I said to the other person you need to keep it secretly, ok? I will only hand out these strategies to a handfull of people before I feel MY competition has grown to much  ;) I will email them to you, the only other stipulation that I have is that you tell me how much if/at all, you felt they helped you.

Ivy_Hopeful, I know you don't want more competition, but could you e-mail me those intense strategies.
I'm also looking for helpful hints and strategies to conquer the A.R. section of the LSAT if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks :D,
Erin
