What is the next big market or desirable specialty for lawyers, given that the current interest in IP will lead to a glut in that field?

Yeah, a lot of people jumped into the IP pool without realizing patents and trademarks are as boring as watching grass grow. (Just kidding, kinda.)

I think international law (negotiations) will be big, especially as the world becomes less and less tolerant of the United States.  At the same time, all nations, the US included, will be more interdependent.

I agree. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking, since I'll probably do health law. I have a nursing background, and I work as a paralegal in health law right now, so it's a natural fit for me.
