1st Ding-UT Austin

     It wasn't my first and probaly not my last either, but I received my ding from UT yesterday as well.   I can not say that I am suprised seeing that I dropped out of their undergard after only 1 semester 14 years ago with a 0.2 GPA.  I really did not expect them to give me a second chance. 
     I'm a die-hard Longhorn fan though. So even with the lack of love from the law school, I'll still be cheering for Texas to beat OU (only from the east coast instead of the middle of Texas).  Hook 'em Horns.

I guess they don't like my LSD persona. I was deferred back in December, rejection is dated 3/8.

And since we now know that UT reads these boards:

I don't even rate stationary? I gave you all my soul to pick apart and all I get is a laser-printed letterhead with three sentences and a pixelated signature? Stuffed in one of those cheap envelopes that bills come in? You guys are lame.

Well, it can't be too long then until I hear a decision. But towanda, at least you got Cornell, UPenn and USC. I would take any of those over UTA, so well done.

Wow...I just read your story on LSN...What are they thinking? I mean, you've gotten into some great schools!!!!
It doesn't seem like anybody but the MOST RIDICULOUSLY QUALIFIED are getting into UT lately....

Seems like UT is in full ding-swing now.  I wonder if I'm due this week?  They're really the last school I'm holding out hope for.

If by some miracle I do get into UT, my head seriously will swell to mammoth proportions.  In that case, I'll just keep reminding myself that I drive a Cavalier.  It's red.  A red Cavalier.

Not to scare you but have you checked out the app updates reject page on LSN recently? That is the craziest wave of responses all at the same time I have ever seen. If you get past this wave you are golden.

In the past 2 days they have rejected the following people:

171/3.4
171/3.6
170/3.62
170/3.5

My 172/2.86 looks tenuous at best.  My only hope is that 172 is UT's "magic" LSAT number, beyond which everyone is accepted   Oh by the way, did I mention I'm out of state?  When I didn't get into Michigan, I pretty much knew I wasn't getting into UT.
