Besides weather what are some differences between Boston and Los Angeles?

Also, Boston (actually Cambridge) has Harvard and MIT. Boston has BU, BC, Northeastern, Tufts, etc.

I like Boston and would probably prefer it to LA. However, if I had a choice, I would not live in a big city. I currently work in Cambridge (or Boston as most people call it) but live far far away from the action.

That's definitely possible. Despite the impressive advantage LA has (3.7 million vs. 0.6 million)
