I was talking to a friend of mine last night who has three kids ('cause God knows I know nothing of raising kids) and she said she went through exactly the same thing as your wife after her first kid.  The not feeling confident part and the breaking down part too. 

Anyhow, congrats again -- sounds like you're doing great!

Not getting much sleep, BigTex? I have a four year old and a 2 year old...and I'd say it's been about 4 years since I last slept. I wouldn't count on it getting any better until they are teenagers. Then YOU will be the one waking THEM up - at least I hope to all the gods that's true because I really need some sleep.
