/agree with WFP.

I have not decided whether or not I am going to accept the offer, but I do feel slighted that I need to prove myself. In my opinion, the people with a low GPA should be taking these classes, not someone who has a high GPA and a perfect masters GPA. That alone should prove my academic abilities. They just wanted to get out of having to submit our LSAT scores, so they enroll us into a program and then accept us without our scores.

It is not looking a gift horse in the mouth. It is the school being really shrewd. I am happy that I was not rejected, or waitlisted, but I do have the right to rant about the fact that I have to go the extra mile and pay a little over 1k to prove myself when I have proven my academic abilities through undergrad, graduate work, and publications.

I know what you mean in that respect. If it were Hofstra asking me to go into a program like that, I would have immediately called and given them a credit card number to sign me up. I was just surprised a T3 school would ask people to do this.

I think the remedy to this situation is: If you don't really want to go through this trouble to go to Albany, then don't. Go somewhere else!

That's a good idea.  But my problem is that I haven't gotten an acceptance yet.  :'(
