162/3.9 with a PhD in biosciences.  I was accepted in January (not EA).  I was told that all of the merit based awards were mailed on March 1st and my letter indicated that loan information would follow in a subsequent letter.  I would think that you would be getting something on the west coast this weekend.  Good Luck!

I was thinking about the Duke thing...Could the letter that we've been getting be a combination of merit and need based aid?  They did have all of us fill out the scholarship form with the financial info at the beginning.  I hope not, but just a thought.

this is exactly the case. the money they are giving us is a combination of merit and need. Unfortunately, there shall be no more $$$ after the initial notification, unless you don't negotiate for more, of course.
