How high on the list is Tech for you?

Sorry, the 2nd, you're right.

Tech is pretty high on the list, but I am still a bit concerned about Lubbock...not that I dont think I would fit in or like the smallish-town atmosphere...it is just so far removed from everything else in the state.

What about you?  Are you totally sold?

Yeah, totally sold now after I went for a visit over X-mas break.....

Where are you from and where'd you go to undergrad at? I must admit I was fairly concerned about Lubbock's bad rep. when I applied too, but most of my uneasy was calmed when I actually went out for a visit. The law school itself is gorgeous(and about to be expanded) and on a beautiful campus, and the town, while flat and windy, isn't nearly as bad as most people make it out to be and there seems to be plenty "to do".

I'm from Dallas but Lubbock didnt seem that bad, plus its just a quick Southwest flight from any other city in Texas..... 


I'd imagine come April you'll have the same impression I, and a few others on the message board, seem to share about Tech and Lubbock. If you have any questions though feel free to ask, I'm pretty well versed at this point on my Texas Tech propoganda.

I'd love to attend the admitted students day, I guess the chili cookoff is great!

It's up in the air right now though if I'll actually attend. It costs a lot to fly down from Cleveland and I'd love to make a road trip for the weekend. I'm still debating I really want to, but I don't know if I can justify the cost.

Regardless, anyone who is attending next fall will definately see me there! I can't wait to meet y'all. I hope you're all sold on Texas Tech after April, there is no need to be concerned about Lubbock the people who bash it are basing their opinion on ignorance, I spent 4 days there and had a blast, for being a mid-size city, its a lot better than Waco and has plently of west texas culture!

I love it out there, I think you'll be sold once you go out there, feel free to ask any questions you have, between TexasTiger14 and I we have officially become the Texas Tech propaganda cheerleaders.
