The American dream is now dead...
« on: February 26, 2005, 11:28:44 AM »
Got my rejection from American yesterday. You gotta love the swiftness of the mail service when you live in the same city as the school. Letter was postmarked thursday and I got it friday.

I pretty much new it would be tough to get into American, but I figured with all of my other waitlists, that is what I would get. Not so much, I guess.

But the good news is I only have one more school to hear from (damn you W&L! damn you to hell.) Then I'll be done with this wretched process.

Sorry to hear about the rejection. At least you only have one more school to hear from then you can look at your options and make a decision. Do you have any favorites of those you have been accepted by?
I can't pass up this oppurtunity to make myself absurd.

I think the decision for me is between Rutgers-Camden and Villanova. I'm feeling the call back to Philadelphia (where I'm from).

I have no shot of getting in to W&L and the only reason I haven't been rejected yet is that they haven't sent out any rejections yet. The W&L rejection is already built in to my psyche. I won't be surprised or upset when it does finally come. Just the opposite. I'll be excited that I'm done.

Yeah, I live in DC also and it took 3 days to get to me.  Oddly enough, I was rejected from American and accepted into GW.  I don't know what American was thinking.  Oh well, @#!* em haha.  I toured GW today and am stoked.  American seemed like money hungry whores anyway......

You going to Villanova day in April?  Just got accepted myself.  If only they had more international i'd be there in a heartbeat (their avg. salary is higher than a lot of outranking schools, and generally people seem fond of it.  hear it's a nice area?

I'm going to the admitted student open house on March 5. I think their deposit deadline is April 1.

Villanova is in a nice area. Extremely suburban, though. I've been doing research on Villanova's Philadelphia law placement, and they do a great job of putting their grads in Philadelphia firms.

W & L, like W & M, are both LSAT whores.  W & L costs twice as much as W & M though. (you live in DC or NOVA?).

I'm in DC proper. Not NOVA.  Good luck with W&M. I've given up on W&L.
