Is waiting a long time for a decision generally a good or bad sign?

On the one hand, it means we are technically still in the running at some good schools. On the other hand, WTF!!!

Ask again this time next year if you're still waiting.

Its bad.  The longer you wait, the less chance you have been accepted.  Law schools with rolling admissions obviously take the cream of the crop right away.  I went through this last year when i was applying, I got my final rejection letter in July.  I chose to go to grad school for a year instead.
