Hamline is putting me up for 2 nights in a hotel for their Accepted Students weekend and is reimbursing me up to $300 for the plane ticket, which should cover it.

UH gave $250. McGeorge gave $300+hotel. Hamline gave $300+hotel. Seattle U gave $300. ONU and a few others gave some money but I didn't plan to visit so I tossed the offers, sorry.

Did you get a scholarship from them?  They mentioned that they were giving me money to visit because I was a scholarship recipient.  I will get back to you though.  I'm probably wrong and it's $300.

Yeah I received a scholarship and the $300 hotel+travel offer as a scholarship recipient. I guess you won't have to worry about how to spend all that money if it only turns out to be $300 ;).

Did the schools just offer this to you or did you call the admissions office?  I'm wondering how I should go about doing this.

Scurvy,
SU gave you 300? How did you pull that off?  I went up their to visit and they didn't give me jack.  I feel ripped off now.

Yeah I'm confused with this too.  I don't understand, do the schools just offer this to you or do you have to actually ask them for it?

Mine was just offered to me.  I would imagine they only budget for a set number of applicants.
