On what are you basing this statement?  When assessing chances, it's best not to speak at all if you don't know what you're talking about.  Since you don't know his LSAT, I can only assume you're pulling this from your behind.  While encouragement is good, ignorant encouragement is not.  Especially when you're talking about the three most selective schools in the country.  With the right LSAT score, the OP's chances for YHS are quite good...but that doesn't really say anything.

lol nah i'm over that.  I actually prefer they don't mention Yale...I've had more than my fill of trying to sell the place to self-important college grads who think they should be courted.  So if I don't have to do it in the first place, even better .

Posted this on Top Law Schools, figured I would give here a try as well.

I'm a URM (black), 3.2 gpa from a top 10 school, 170 LSAT, interested in academia.

I was prepping around 174-175, and I'm considering a retake, wondering if it's worth it. I was sick for a large chunk of UG which put a big hit on my GPA (before and after the sickness I was in the 3.6/3.7s.) Will anyone will care about that?

Harvard's would be my top choice with everything else a distant second, if it was within reach at all. I honestly have no idea. I'm planning to apply next year so I'll have 2 years of unrelated work experience, if that matters.

Statistically, it's probably not worth it to retake.  Write good essays, apply early, and see what happens.  You should get into at least CCN.

Hello everyone, I've tried all the different calculators, lsn, etc, but I am trying to get some opinions from people who have gone through the process. My stats are as follows:
3.63 from a UC
156 retaking in dec

I've heard a lot about how I really need to break 160, and I really hope I can but nothing is for sure, especially when it comes to the LSAT
so what are my chances at the following schools, and perhaps any suggestions for other schools, i am looking to get into government eventually.also if i may be looking at any money as well.

Just curious...how reliable is LSN in terms of minority applications in your opinions? Between the sheer lack of minority applicants on the site (in relation to all ORM's) and the obvious fake accunts, I feel like it's kinda hard to gauge my chances at certain schools. Am I overanalyzing this or should I take my LSN research with a grain of salt?
