I'd say $125 K (unless the scholarship and grant gods are kind to me)...and second Auburn's emotion of a very long time ::)

Less than $30k if I wind up at Houston which I think I will. The only thing we'll have to take out loans for is tuition. I think I'll be considered in state after the first year. This is completely unfounded, but I think it will help expedite getting in-state tuition in that we're planning to purchase a home there, too.

Compared to the $150k+ loan nightmare that would be Pepperdine, which could still happen.

Hmmm...I just paid a deposit at NYU which has a student budget of 57K per year...without comparing finaid packages...so A LOT. And it'll take me forever to pay it off unless I inherit some mad cash at some point. Or marry into money, haha  ;D

If I decide to take Northwestern's offer, the cost of living for 3 yrs (roughly $45K?). If I take Stanford and hopefully get some aid, $75K. Paying back $1000 a month: almost 4yrs for the former, a little over 6 yrs for the latter.

millions, with every expectation that I will never pay them off because of working on Public Interest issues. I guess I better choose the school with the best LRAP program

I'm thinking approx $56,000. Probably just the federal loans for three years.
