Does Presidents Day = No Mail?
« on: February 21, 2005, 03:51:05 AM »
I suspect that since its a nationally "observed" holliday the banks are closed, most government offices are closed, no mail delivery, and no trash pick-up. However I just wanted to find out for sure! As pathetic as it sounds I actually get excited each day at the prospect of new law school mail, I frantically rush to my mailbox at 3:00 like clockwork when my mail comes so having my excitment taken away tomorrow is not something I'm going to look forward to =(.

Are you serious??  F I completely forgot about that! What am I going to do all day if I can't stare out the window looking for the mailman?

I've used this analogy before, but it's still true: Days with no mail delivery are your best friend. It's like being a death row inmate in Texas during a power outage: Stress is high, but you can rest assured that nothing bad will happen to you today. No matter what, you're alive for one more day at all your dream schools. Savor it.

But do you think the admissions office is still open at most schools?  Students still have classes today at most schools, right?
