American -- rejected by my neighbors
« on: February 12, 2005, 03:00:28 PM »
Rejected at AU, letter dated 2/10.  This one hurts, because the AU law campus is about a mile from my house.  Despite my GPA, I kind of liked my chances there.  I had strong LORs, including one from an American WCL grad.

Sorry.  I'm kind of surprised since your lsat is so high.  But at least now you have a reason to leave Spring Valley.

Yeah, but neither my wife nor I really want to leave DC.  We own a house, and my wife has a great job.  I'm still waiting to hear from Mason and Catholic.

i think you should be ok for catholic.  mason is a little tougher, but hey, it can happen.  good luck.

When did you submit your application?  Were you going for PT or FT?

Now I am nervous.  American is my target school for PT with a 3.37 and a 162 LSAT.

I know you can never tell, but you should feel pretty confident.

I am a nervous wreck about the whole process.  I am worried about catholic b/c I wrote washington college of law on the personal statement accidently (resubmitted of course), worried about American b/c on their website after I submitted the paragraphs were not formatted properly in my Personal Statement.... granted, no fault of my own, however, it still freaks me out especially since American's Admis. office sucks....

Then, Gtown, GW, and GMU are all long shots so even with pretty good stats I am a nervous wreck lol.......

Consider, before you get too nervous, that your GPA is basically a full point higher than mine.  Even if you don't get into American, I bet you get into Catholic.  Good luck.
