I just went to decision at UVA tonight. As always, I don't know what the decison IS, and will have to wait for mail or a phone call.

I went complete 2/3, and that seems like a pretty quick turnaround, so I am thinking that I'm either an auto-admit or auto-deny (presumably due to some problem in my app). I think and hope that it's the former. I hope they are still calling, since I'll be very worried if I don't hear in a day or two. I'm in Arlington, so hopefully the letter will get mailed tomorrow and be here by Friday.

Wish me luck...

I tried to get tix to the show in DC at work today, but couldn't get any.  Sucks.

Widespread's coming to DC?  sweet.  thanks for the heads up.
Good luck scoring tickets on Ticketmonster.

Space Wrangler (like the Widespread reference) I am also not a student anymore and have wrestled with what to send.  At this time, I don't think there is anything to send unless you have received a promotion.  I would send that updating your file but other than that there is probably nothing that interesting that will sway your app.  I also think getting a letter from a grad does not come in to play until you have been waitlisted and know the school is your top choice.  Just my thoughts but thought they may be helpful.

Yo Bamaboy... I don't know what your numbers are like, but I obviously have a bit of a split.  I've heard people mention addendums to their LSAT scores.  I'm not sure what they're referring to, but I wonder if I should send something like that?  I'm confident that's the only reason I'm still pending.  I'm in-state, have a good GPA, and great W.E. in arms control and nonproliferation.  I just want to send them something reassuring them that my success will not hinge on the results of a 4 hour test I took two years ago.  Does anybody have any thoughts about this?

Elvis, good luck getting tix.  I tried to get some yesterday via the WP site, but could not get through.  I will be buying from Craig's List if I have to though.

I would not send the addendum - but withdraw the application, study your a** off, retake the LSAT and apply for early decision at UVA next fall.  My guess is that the folks on the admissions committee have heard it a hundred times before -- "But, I swear, this test is not indication of how I'll do in law school!" Sure, maybe you are an exception to the general rule -but I'm unconvinced that an addendum will help your case.  So, unless you are completely satisfied with going to Georgia -- maybe consider retaking the LSAT and re-apply to more schools.

I had a split the other way and attached an addendum.  However, I am not sure if it is the kind of thing to send after your application has been complete for over 2 months.  It might look like you are second guessing yourself about it.  Good luck.
