Ya know, not to be stereotypical (and since I started with that, you that I am  ), but I have noticed that gay guys...

i think a good rule of them when you're about to make a generalization about a group (republicans are... lesbians seem to...) is to substitute "black people" or "jews" or "puerto ricans" and see if you'd be significantly less likely to open your mouth and say it.

i feel like i always hear "i've noticed based on all my gay acquaintances that they always..." when the same people would never make a blanket statement like that about a racial or religious group b/c they know it's so offensive

Hmmmm ... the substitution rule lexy poses seems to work OK here with midjeep's generalization. can't imagine too many blacks or puerto ricans getting mad at the above.

There are sooooo many negative generalizations about homosexuals so I just wanted to make a positive. I did go to a Baptist undergrad, not too many "we love the gays" t-shirts (however, I do think we were pro-lesbian because I know I saw at least 50 girls wearing "We Love Bush" t-shirts....wait, maybe that was for the President  )
