seems odd that someone with 3.5/157 gets accepted w/ 15K and someone with 3.0/155 gets flat-out rejected.  i lie somewhere in the middle but now i don't know what to expect.  not that hofstra is necessarily a top choice, just being realistic.

we'll see how the february lsat treats me...

The difference between a 3.0 and a 3.5 is what did it. I think the LSAT score was about equal for both.

well i'm complete but i wonder if my chances are good with a 3.43/155. actually emailed hofstra and got a generic 6-8 weeks after complete email back.  how hard is it for someone to personally write me back?

i mean it takes like 2 minutes.  they offer you ridiculous amounts of money based solely on your score yet they don't get back to on a personal level.  Miami, on the other hand, had the assistant student recruiter personally email and we started an email conversation.  Too bad i have to retake the LSAT to get in there.  I have a sick feeling my app is pretty weak...

I am surprised by that ding?  Just curious, as i have some simliar stats and i didn't even think about applying there until they sent me a fee waiver saying my stats were in line with their admissions. Do you have work experience or are you applying out of school ( I don't even know if Hofstra cares about WE?
