Just want to add my little advice to this topic and to those American Chinese (ABCs and alike) who are still able to communicate fluently in Mandarin. When encounter a native Chinese for the first time and you are asked "where are you from" in Chinese. Answering like "I am an American" is pretty much the same as saying “end of conversation”. It sounds puerile and defensive. The person asking this question probably knows you are not living in China and might have a US passport, so the question is just asking “what’s your or maybe your parents’ connection with China” more than anything else.

I think if I ran into a really attractive girl back in China, i might tell her that I hold a Canadian passport and that i'm going to make big dough as a lawyer. She'd want to get with you (marry you) as an avenue to get out of the country. Of course you wouldn't tell her that you don't plan to bring her back to North American with you just yet.

Am I in high demand or not as an Asian American female?? Are there higher standards for Asians? I know we are not considered minorities even though we are in fact minorities. Someone please inform me. Thank ya~~~~~

At least in UG admissions, Asian American females are the most over-represented demographic.

I don't see why it would be different for law school.

It's a tad bizarre that one rarely sees an asian man with another race as their girlfriend. I don't think Asian women are any more attractive than Asian men. I don't understand why men of other races often have a desire for Asian girls, while women of other races do not have a strong attraction to asian men. Well...besides the fact that asian men are presumed to have small wankers...and asian women are presumed to have a tight...nevermind...

Anyways, in terms of looks, i'd say both are pretty even.
