When should I cut my hair?

I have had long hair since my junior year of high school. And to be quite honest I would like to keep my long hair for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I feel that BIGLAW will frown upon my own distinct style. So when should I cut my hair? (I am leaning on cutting it after my first interview where I will straight up ask if my hair will hinder my job prospects).
