Why not just read what you want from you "unread replies" section, and then "mark all as read" for the rest.  Then, they won't clutter up your box, you can read what you want, and eventually the thread will die.

It's an extra click of the button, and much faster than deleting your posts (and any relevant info that you posted will stay there for future readers, as Pookie pointed out)

I use the last 200 only.  I don't understand the others, and I like to stick my big ass non-jew nose in other people's business.

Is there anyway to remove a thread from my watch list, so that it no longer appears on the "unread replies to your posts" page when someone adds a new post to it?

I looked everywhere...

delete all your posts in the thread.
