Rejected from cardozo
« on: January 27, 2005, 04:42:31 PM »
Got the letter 2 days ago, I kinda figured I wouldn't get in there with my LSAT scores, since it seems as though they are really looking at much higher numbers.  My stats were 3.4/152.  But I thought maybe with having a biology/chemistry degree and extensive work in pharmacy, I thought maybe my diversity may help me get in.  Guess not!  I haven't recieved one acceptance letter yet, 0-2. Rejected from cardozo and pitt so far.  Starting to feel like I may not get in anywhere!  I applied to Pitt, Cardozo, George Mason, Fordham, Gonzaga, Temple, Hofstra, St. Johns, Northeastern, Loyoloa Chicago.  What do you guys think.. Any chance?  Just really thought my diversity would pull me through, but maybe Im not as diverse as I thought?  Someone help lift my spirits!

Are you a URM?

If not, I would consider some more schools. With a 152, it is not partiuclarly likely you will get into Northeastern, St. John's, Loyola Chicago, and especially GMU and Fordham.

If you are set on staying in the Northeast, I'd consider Suffolk, New England School of Law, maybe NYLS, Touro, Catholic if DC is an option.

Anyone else have suggestions?
Accepted: Brooklyn w/17.5K, Suffolk, NYLS w/ 20K
Pending: Northeastern, Cardozo, American
Rejected: GW, Fordham (no surprise there)

although this won't cheer you up....the truth is....most school are all about the numbers....based on your numbers alone...i would tell you to apply to more schools bc i don't see you as an auto-admit to any of the schools you have listed...touro, and NYLS would be more likely...other peopl may have more suggestions....i would go to lsac and try to find a school where they accept over 90% of people with your #s aas a safety school

and.......the admissions process is over! yay!

Hi,

Sorry about the ding.  I hope you get good news soon.  The waiting is awful.  Did you apply for full time or the part time May program?

Best wishes
