I think he's doing a good job. He's a heck of a lot better than Gray Davis.

He's doing a good job.  If he can get this new anti-gerrymandering thing through and shake up the state asembly, it'll be a great job.

Yes, the proposal to change redistricting practices (from legislature to indep. board) would be a refreshing change. Overall, he is doing better than I expected.

Agreed. Was nicely surprised. Plus, it's not like there were any other options.

There are always choices to make when it comes to drawing congressional districts. The only question is, who will have power over it. Who will pull the lever? To say that its just a question of rights and proper representation is judicial activist gobble-di-gook.

Seriously, people? I'm not a proud CA resident. I'm not super well informed on his policies, but I feel like he's a big joke.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is different from other Hollywood figures in politics in two major instances:

1. He is the one with the courage to take the plunge and run for office. The rest of them are self-righteous twits who occasionaly throw in ignorant comments to the press sometimes just to get publicity.

2. He is a Republican. Almost all the others- save Bruce Willis and perhaps Clint Eastwood- tow the progressive line on all the issues.

Martin Sheen is one of the more politically vocal Hollywood actors, but he is also different from the rest in that he takes his liberal dogma to the level of his work (i.e.- "The West Wing"). Either you respect him for that or you find it off-putting. Since I hate "The West Wing", I feel the latter.
