Oh BTW did you have to fill out anything for NW (for the scholarship/full ride thing) or did they just offer it up as an incentive?

Northwestern has a seperate financial aid application you have to fill out (in addition to the FAFSA). They use that form to make all institutional aid offers.

Is it academic driven, or need based?

I think both. The letter suggests both are factors.

Ya, that did sound rude, actually.  There are people who are indeed actually stoked to be admitted to Hastings. Such as myself.  Just got word today.  What a relief to be admitted to *a* law school!  :)

anyway, congrats on your schools! lucky you.

Yeah sorry about that. A lot of people seemed to miss the sarcasm anyway.
It's actually a very good way to go if you want to practice in the bay area, especially SF.
A bit competitive though from what I hear.
Congratulations.

I went complete on 11/17, and my online status check changed to decision on 1/19. The letter was postmarked on 1/21 though.
