In at Michigan
« on: January 22, 2005, 06:00:31 PM »
Just got word today. Anyone else who was admitted know if scholarship offers came with the acceptance? They are my number 3 choice.

Edit: My personalized note referred to a lame story in my local newspaper about my 179, which makes me feel like a tool.
3.6 (Mech Engr/Math/Econ (minor)), (167 and 179), Lots of ECs, and a guy with long blonde hair(that should make me an URM):
In:Michigan!, DUKE
Out:Yale, Harvard
Waitlist: Penn

I also applied to duke and michigan and I think I would pick Duke ahead of michigan.  the weather is just so much better at duke.

Aside from the fact that Michigan is much more prestigious. I grew up in Michigan, am in state at Michigan, my wife is applying to grad school their and I have a very cheap place to live. Plus I do not like the south.

 :o :o :o :o :o  :'( >:(

((southern belle faints)))

congratulations, yankee.

I hate anyone considered a yankee as well. I really want to like the south, I really do. But, it just cannot happen.

I received my letter yesterday too, and money wasn't referenced either.

congrats guys! Michigan is a great school. The weather isn't fantastic, but I don't think you'll be outdoors much anyways- Unless you're down at the "Big House" watching the wolverines play. Go Blue!
