If you got into a school because of a URM advantage, would you accept the admission? Or would you turn it down and go to the school you deserve? (Lets just pretend that you know, without any doubt, that you got in because URM advantage.)

I would definitely turn it down.

1. A URM advantage often isn't that huge. It puts a Columbia/NYU student into HYS. Or it puts a Georgetown person into Columbia/NYU. So its not like you're getting a huge boost.

2. The damage done to my self-esteem and principles would haunt me for the rest of my life. I do not want to be known as someone who undeservingly stole somebody else's deserved admission. Its just not worth the guilt.

i think you would be an absolute moron not to take it.

i would GLADY take any top-14 acceptance any way i can get one.  i have no shame, if i got in because of connections i would be perfectly fine.  you have to take advantage of every opportunity you are given if you want to succeed.

I would DEFINITELY take any sort of advantage and not think twice. Then again, that's the kind of person I am.

As far as committing fraud etc. while guaranteed not to get caught? I wouldn't stop at fraud
