Waitlisted at USD

3.46/159 Damn, i got my waitlist letter today.  It was my top choice.  Does any one know the likelihood of getting off waitlists? This sucks!

I think the LSAT did you in, USD is such an LSAT whore!
Don't get down by this, cause what the heck would I know, but it does seem like a lot of people who get accepted there go there.  Hell, it's SAN DIEGO. hehe.

I don't understand USD.  I called them today, I went complete in October, but they can't make any decision, no waitlist, no acceptance, no rejection.  They said I could expect a decision before mid-June.  What does all this mean?  Why do they waitlist some and just not decide anything on others? How do we interpret this?

I suggest writing them letters, sending them post cards, etc reiterating your interest. Send them once a week or once every two weeks. This way when someone decides not to attend and they need to fill the spot your name will be the first that pops into their heads. Good luck!

I have written letters expressing continued interest, am thinking of visiting the admissions office in person next week too.

If you've read the other threads about me you know that my Plan B options are pretty complicated.

Best thing for me would be an acceptance to USD.

yeah i think i am going to write a letter telling them i will definetely attend if i get in.  it just really sucks because my lease is coming up and i have no idea what i am going to do.

You are probably on the bubble, for comparison I got in at USD with a 3.25/164 and I applied kind of late. Good luck!
