i'm not sure if the email everyone, but the email said the acceptance packet was following in the mail, and that they wanted to let me know about my acceptance as soon as possible (hence the email).  this would lead me to believe that they email everyone as soon as they decide, but i'm not sure.....

I got the letter very soon after the e-mail. There wasn't a lot in there, but at least I got the physical letter. It's very cool.

Congrats on Notre Dame! It is definitely an awesome school. I received a rejection from them last year, but it was the most "uplifting" rejection letter I received .
