Which notifications are mailed to the PERMANENT address...BC? UCLA? etc?

Long time reader, first time typer...

I was moving apartments when I sent in my applications, and now I'm kicking myself for putting down my parents as a permanent address...I haven't lived there for 2 years...

Some things have come to my current apartment, but my folks received my "application received" letter from USC at their address. The sight of a "thin letter" nearly gave my mom a heart attack. I was able to get in touch with the school but now I'm concerned about the others.

If anyone could please advise me as to whether the following schools send notifications to the permanent address, you would save us a lot of anxiety...

BC, GULC, UC Hastings, UCLA, U Mich, UVA

Thanks in advance!

BU was also sent to permanent address.

Just a note, I think some of these were sent to the perm. address because of the timing, i.e., over the holiday break.

Not on your list, but I'm pretty sure Temple and Wisconsin are sent to perm.  I know Miami sends to current.  I wonder about Pitt.

I expect the schools to read what the app says...my current address is current through the date listed.  My perm addy, which I own but is being rented until the date my current addy is listed as "valid through", is not valid until after the date I listed my current addy as valid through.  My renters are unlikely to hold mail for the mnmgt company to mail out to me.  Or, worse, they consider the stuff as junk mail and pitch it.  Great.

Congratulations! How exciting and helpful to those camped out by their current mailboxes!  ;)

gtown - local address
mich - local address
UCLA - don't know; i used my local address as my permanent for that one, i think, since i wouldn't move if i went there.  if not, then local.  (i haven't received the acceptance packet yet anyway, just the little postcard reminder to apply for aid.)  do you want me to look up my UCLA app?

No need to go to any trouble, but if it happens to be convenient, I would appreciate it.

Side note: I totally feel honored that Pookie has replied to my post.

i have over 7000 posts.  it would appear that i reply to A LOT of people's posts  :D

but since you're honored, i looked up my app.  i did use my parents' address as my permanent address, even though i wouldn't move from where i am now to attend UCLA (i'm prob like 2 miles away).  i got a little postcard about financial aid, at my local address.
