and, IMHO, a scam.  i refused to fill it out.  they have no business knowing my parents finances.  honestly, do you think you'll get any more aid out of the schools than your stafford loan?

aah, ok.  but if your parents are middle class, then i think the need access is worthless

Some of my friends whose parents are middle class got nothing additional by filling out the need access form other than the Stafford.  They felt like it was a waste of their money.  One of them is estranged from her parents, yet Need Access still demanded her parents info.

I agree. The fafsa is nice and pretty much straight forward, but the need access app asks you for last years income, plus the income for the year to come, plus whatever else they can think of. Unfortunately, some schools require both.

Yeah, I filled out the student section yesterday.  What a pain in the ass!

All of my answers were pathetic estimates and guesses, but hopefully I'll be able to get some need-based aid out of it.
